    Hi,

    Could you please tell me how to allow text in the Date Picker area ? I want to let my visitors choose between select a date or write a text like “November or December”

    Yes, there is a possibility that if your visitors want to enter something in text box so we should not enable datepicker by force but with a calendar icon beside the text field. So if someone want to use datepicker, he will click that icon else simple input.

    But if you are thinking about the same functionality within jQuery ui datepicker so you need to review this documentation,
