Allow Search Engines to Index my Site

    Hi,

    I’m trying to allow search engines to index my site now that I have more information and got things set up how I want it. I’m just having a few problems. Every time I click the radio button and click save, the radio button jumps back down to “Ask search engines not to index my site”.

    Is there anything that I’m not doing elsewhere on WordPress to change this?

    I don’t know this issue, but this behavior is not normal.

    i’m having the exact same issue – i just put my site live and realized i needed to make it public for search engines and the setting will not save – ahhh

    ok – i think i figured it out… go to the settings tab and click on the “reading” option and from there you can uncheck the “discourage search engines from indexing this site” save changes and it should be good to go ??

    Sorry for the delay in reply, it took me a while to remember my login details!

    Thank you hiettcody for that tip..
    I was very annoyed since it took so long till I found out that was the problem.
