• I’ve been using your plugin for a while, but just ran into the situation where a “content producer” role was not able to add media to a “resource” custom post type. When she clicks on the “add media” button, the list of files to insert is not shown.

I’m familiar with editing capabilities in your plugin, so I added everything that made sense. No go. Found this article https://theitbros.com/allow-contributors-role-to-add-images-in-wordpress/ and confirmed that the edit_posts and upload_files capabilities were enabled for this user.

So I’m stumped. Under my administrator login, there is not problem. But I can’t seem to figure out the right permissions for her. I even gave her “admin” rather than “administrator” rights. I’ve created an “admin” role which is just below “administrator” giving nearly unlimited rights. Still, no effect.

Any idea what might be disallowing this?

    Thx.

I can just suppose that some other plugin blocks this feature. Try to deactivate all plugins and retest ‘Content Producer” role. If that will help, activate plugins back on by one with testing media upload to isolate the reason of this problem.
