    Hello,

is it on purpose that only admins can create galleries and can even see the plugin in the left sidebar?

Is there a way to change that?

    Best regards,
    Florian

    Hi @florian99,

That works purposefully but you can change the capabilities for specific user’s roles from “Gallery -> Other Options -> Roles & Capabilities “

Thank you for this lightning-fast reply!

I’m on the newest version on a multisite install (should have mentioned that). And although I checked “Enable roles/capabilities: Allow users to change the roles for other blog authors.” I can’t see the option.

I tried on a clean install (no multisite) and there I can see it.

    (I’m logged in a a super-admin).

    Best regards

    Hi @florian99,

NextGen’s settings are looking different on the multi-sites. Can you please check from the Newtwork Admin Dashboard to see if you will be able to specify the user’s roles?

I need to also mention that in some of the cases, the Administrator users’ roles may loose some of their capabilities due to a site migration so you may need to use a users’ role editor plugin to ensure that the Administrator has enough capabilities.

P.S. NextGen purposefully doesn’t allow uploading and creating galleries using a mobile device ( phone or tablet ). This feature works from a desktop or laptop device only.
