    Hi,

    I’m using WP Job Manager with Listify and WooCommerce.

    I have finished setting up the user registration and login process and would now like to customize the listing owner (LO) journey of LOs to submit their listing and be able to manage it. However, I struggle to really find basic information on how WP Job Manager actually works, for example:

    1) can LOs only submit or also manage their listing? If so, how?

    2) I saw some high level information somewhere on employer roles, which would all LOs to manage their listing. However, how would such employer profiles be created by LOs? So far my website only has one registration functionality via woocommerce, which allows users to register without any specific roles.

    3) currently, the listings front page shows content dependent on content items added to the widgets in the backend, e.g. listings’ main content widget would include the description, which is pulled form the listings backend page. I saw that there is a plugin to edit WP Job Manager fields (https://plugins.smyl.es/wp-job-manager-field-editor/). Will this then add new content items that can be added to the widgets, so that its shown on the listings front page?

    Perhaps, I have missed it, but it would be really helpful if there was some more explanation on the plugin online. Unfortunately, the documentation didn’t help further on the above.

    I would truly appreciate if someone could shed some light on these 3 points.

    Thanks a lot!

    Best,
    David

    UPDATE:

    I have found on another site that within WP admin -> Settings -> Job Submission: the options of account creation need to be set. This will then create an employer WP account during the submission process.

    However, I still don’t understand how a employer can edit his listing. When I try to log into wp-admin with the employer credentials, I get immediately redirected to the woocommerce my-account dashboard. I thought initially this may be because the listing wasn’t approved, but even after approving it, it doesn’t work.

    Could someone clarify how listings can be edited by employers?

    Many thanks
    David

    @alphax
    The employer will not see the backend wo WP.
    You have to put this shortcode to a site of your choise.
    [job_dashboard]

    jo have to select the page also in the settings tab

    The jobs_dahsboard is not inserted into the my account section of woocommerce. This will need some custom code

    To submit a listing you need to insert this shortcode to a site of your choise
    [submit_job_form]
    and do the same as I mentioned for the jobs dashboard

    Hi @braehler

    the [job_dashboard] shortcode was all I needed I think. It works now – thanks a lot!

    Could you just clarify one last thing, i.e. what you meant by saying that I have to select the page in the settings tab?

    Thanks
    David

    @alphax

    for sure: Go to the settings tab of WPJM and then “pages” select the page where you have inserted the jobs_dashboard shortcode. So the plugin knows where to look out for the page
