We had a customer using a conditional on their email confirmation action to ensure that a field for “coupon code” matched a particular value, however they found that sometimes the email was not firing. We discovered that this was because their conditional was set up to see if the value was “free10” but some customers were entering “FREE10”.

Since nothing in the admin interface indicates this behaves in this way (and I can see many cases where you would NOT want it to be case sensitive), could an option be added when doing a text-based value comparison so the admin can choose whether it should be case sensitive or not? Just a simple checkbox/dropdown?

I understand we have options available to us using custom JavaScript on the frontend or using the frm_validate_field_entry filter to force the case of the submitted text field value, but IMO this would be a great quality of life improvement for anyone who ISN’T a developer.

    Thank you!

    Hi there,

I’m afraid that we are only able to offer support for the Lite plugin via WordPress forums, and all queries about Pro functionality needs to go via our helpdesk.

Could you please open a ticket here for assistance with Pro features: https://formidableforms.com/new-topic/

    Best,
    Nathanael
