Allow displaying files *.html or *.php in a specific directory (assets)?

    We are both working on a project: frontend and backend.

    The frontend works in wordpress/wp-content/themes/mytheme/assets/ and uses folders (img, js, …), html files and php files (includes php). But WordPress does not allow to access to *.html / *.php

    Is it possible to add an exception for files in wordpress/wp-content/themes/mytheme/assets/ ?
