Allow custom role to be selected

Hi,

So far i’ve found this plugin great, i’m just wondering if anybody had any idea how i could add support for selecting a custom role without the edit_posts capability.

I’ve created a new user role called test that has no capabilities set and no level.

I’ve tried various things including adding all roles to the author dropdown via wp_dropdown_users_args but from what i can see this plugin does its search via jquery.

I’ve set up a role without capabilities because guest authors will not work for what i need, i need the guests on my theme to be actual authors rather than a post with various custom fields set.
