Allow comments only in certain language not working

    Hello there,

    We tested “Allow comments only in certain language” but it’s not working.

    We allowed German and English for the comments, and we tried to comment in Portuguese, Spanish, and Greek, but those comments were not classified as spam.

    Hi @nutttaro !

    Can you please share a URL, so we can check if ASB is correctly working on the comment form?

    I tried the text on https://wooorm.com/franc/ (the tool we use for language detection) and they are not detected correctly, but at least not DE or EN, so they should be blocked. Can you also share a screenshot of the settings, so I can check if there is something misconfigured? Thanks!

    I tried franc via CLI (https://github.com/wooorm/franc#cli), and it seems to be working. Please see the image.

    the settings look fine. I also tried to connect our server which is running franc, and I could send the comment text and get results without any problems.

    If you are using CLI, I think you can test if your server can make the request to https://api.pluginkollektiv.org/language/v1/. Maybe there is something blocking the request (Firewall? Security setting?)

    Can you please also enable logging and check the error logs. Maybe there is another problem on your site.

    Thank you for your responsed

    I looked into the code, and I found the condition before calling your API: that condition checking words counts. It will return false if the comment is less than 10 words.

    I tried to comment more than 10 words in other languages, and it’s working fine. ??
