    As mentioned in the other thread:

    I’m having trouble allowing backorders. All my products can be sold either by unit or by box of X units, so I have both packages(unit and box) as variations, the box is stock dependent on the unit. Both variations are configured with “Allow, but notify customer”, the skus are configured correctly, however if there isn’t enough stock it will only allow me to backorder from the unit variation, but not the box(which is the dependent stock).

    As you can see in the link, this product can be bought in a unit(unidade) or a box(caixa) with 18 units, I only have 12 units in stock. It only allows me to backorder from the unit but not the box.

    The plugin currently does not look to see if a stock dependency allows backorders. I’ve looked at the WooCommerce code and it should be pretty straight-forward to add this. I’ve put this at the top of my to-do list for the plugin and hope to add the functionality soon.

    This feature has been added to v1.3 of the plugin which is now available.

    The Stock Dependencies for WooCommerce plugin supports dependencies on simple and variable products that are configured to allow backorders. In order to allow backorders on simple or variable products that have stock dependencies on other simple and/or variable products, you **must** enable backorders for the products on which there is a dependency **and** the product that has the dependency.
