Allow address to be changed without Google updating it

    When I enter the venue address as
    23 Argyll Rd, Bournemouth BH5 1EB, UK
    I get a single choice of The Fiveways Hotel, however the venue is Urban Beach.
    I have sent an error report to Google, but that will take some time and not everyone will be able to do that.

    What would be nice is if I can have the address display the way I want but still keep the map location. So if I delete the incorrect hotel name without losing the map.

    This would also be helpful if it was actually correct because the venue name is going to be displayed twice.

    Somehow I managed to delete it without it updating, but I am not sure how? Normally every time I delete the hotel it reappears.

    Hi,

    It is possible to disable autocomplete function and then you can set the location on the map without automatic address change. Go to Dashboard -> Events -> Settings -> Adding/Editing Events -> Disable address autocomplete function.

    Yep, true, but the problem with that is you then don’t get the map to find where you are. So now I enter the address and the address does not find and you have to muck around finding the location manually.

    What I need is for it to find the address you enter but then allow you to change how the address is displayed without loosing the map location.
