I updated the plugin yesterday, now all my pages are broken, because Gutenberg can’t handle the wrapper blocks anymore. I can try to resolve the issue in Gutenberg, but then all wrapper customization is gone, and I have to redo everything.
The same issue is with the toggle switch.

Is that a known problem? It is still fine when I don’t change a page, but as soon as I want to use the editor, all the issues are there and I can’t save it without destroying the page.

Any update on this? Version 3.2.4 does not fix the problem! All wrapper blocks still say “This block contains unexpected or invalid content.” My whole website is broken because Gutenberg doesn’t understand “wp-block-essential-blocks-wrapper”.

    Hello @egp3000,

I am so sorry for this inconvenience caused.

I assume that you updated the plugin from a very older version. I have checked it and there are no breaking changes issues for wrapper blocks since the 3.0.0 version. It will only change the settings if you update the plugin from the older than 3.0.0 version.

It would be appreciatable if you please share your WordPress version, the version of Essential Blocks that you have updated from, and your theme name. This information will help me to investigate this issue deeply. And you can also ask for support here for further investigation.

    Thank you.

Thank you, you are correct. I updated from 2.4 to 3.2.4. I rolled back the upgrade, now everything works again.

Is there a way to update an old version without breaking the elements?

    Hello @egp3000,

I am so sorry. Actually, the 3.0.0 version was a major update for Essential Blocks. And we made major structural changes to this version. Also, we integrated more controls for customizations. That’s why we couldn’t handle the deprecation there. So you have to make customize your elements from scratch.

But I can ensure you that we will manage the deprecation in our future release carefully.

    Thanks for your patience.
