    Hi there,

This morning I started backing up my site, the first step I took was to download my site folder via FTP (FileZilla). Before I downloaded that folder though, I deleted another one, which was supposed to have a subdomain in it. But it was empty, I never installed a subdomain so I thought it wouldn’t be a problem to delete.

The download of my main folder was successful, but now my site isn’t available.

It seems like there is no WordPress installation because all wp files are missing including index.html etc. The only folders I see are wp-content and wp-includes.

Last but not least. (maybe it’s relevant) A few months ago I changed my wp install into a multisite install. Now, I’m not sure if this has anything to do with it.
Is it possible that by deleting the subdomain folder, I deleted the wp installation?

If all files except wp-content and wp-includes are missing, did I lose the whole site?
    Any help is appreciated.
    Grtz,
    Di

  • Do you have all the files inside the wp-content directory intact? Also, since you have mentioned you have backed up a complete installation of your websites. Can I ask whether you have backup (zip or compressed file) of your website?
