I haven’t touched or changed my page in months. All of a sudden, all the video thumbnails no longer show an image, and when I try to play any video, I get a black box that says “The media could not be loaded, either because the server or network failed or because the format is not supported.”

Two videos still work as normal, the rest are dead.

When I went to the plugin, it said there was an issue it had to fix. I let it fix the issue, but it didn’t change anything.

I checked my source folder and the videos are still there. The links to the videos are still correct, and I can play the videos from folder they are in, so they work.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

I see a strange issue when inspecting your page source. The image and video URLs contain the website address twice.

For example the Video URL looks like,

    https://www.mysite.com/www.mysite.com/wp-content/Gary_Videos/a-lie-to-die-for-excerpt.mp4

I guess you’re not adding the videos using the media uploader that comes with our plugin and instead you upload the videos directly to your server using a FTP client and just add the file path to the plugin. Am I correct?

If yes, Are you adding relative file paths? Kindly try changing the file paths to the absolute URLs.

But, did this worked before with the same relative file URLs? Anyhow, Please submit a ticket here https://plugins360.com/support/ on our website with this post link. So, we can request some private details from your website and further investigate the issue.

Yes, I’m using FTP hosted videos. But when I click on edit and look at the page, there is no double link. It says:

    VIDEO: https://www.garypollak.com/wp-content/Gary_Videos/a-lie-to-die-for-excerpt.mp4

    IMAGE: https://www.garypollak.com/wp-content/Gary_Videos_thumbnails/a-lie-to-die-for.jpg

And yes, it worked fine before for months. Something changed on its own.

The problem turned out to be a change that required all my links to begin with https:// . I went in and added that to all my video links and they came back to life.
