• Since yesterday (15:20 UTC) none of my users have been able to log into their accounts, including my admin account.
Several of us have tried the ‘Lost your Password’ route but the link in the email returns with an ‘Invalid Key’ error.
I have tried resetting my password through phpMyAdmin but that just gives me the standard lost password error: ERROR: The password you entered for the username Mic is incorrect. Lost your password?. I have double checked the user name, generated an MD5 password and followed all the suggestions in the WP Codex such as adding the password reset line in the functions.php file.
I am running Woocommerce and it seems people had a similar problem last year with version 2.2.2 – https://support.woothemes.com/hc/communities/public/questions/203033736-Password-reset-invalid-key- – but I am now on version 2.2.3.
I have had a surge of suspicious user registrations over the past few weeks and wondered if the site could have been hacked or something? The site itself is fine though – https://minimatters.co.za – apart from the fact that none of my customers can log into their accounts!
Any help / suggestions would be much appreciated.
