All updated Information Lost!

  • I have no idea how this could have happened. For the last two days I have been making major modifications to my site (major for me, as I am a novice). I have been editing the files through the administration panel, saving them there, etc. Yesterday everything looked fantastic. Today, for some bewildering reason, my website has reverted back to the way it looked three days ago! All the files that I modified (comments.php, sidebar.php, etc.) have all reverted to where they were. How is this even possible? Of course, I had been making a point lately of backing up files before I updated them, but didn’t this one time! Has this ever happened to anyone before? I don’t even understand how it is possible.

    Contact your hosting provider and ask them if they had to restore your site from a backup for some reason.

    Ah…that could be it! They are a terrible host, and I really should change it, I am just lazy. Thanks, I will try that.

    By the way (and I hope this is not considered spam),
    I would like to tell anyone thinking of doing so, NOT to use Globat as your webhost. They are continuously advertising cheap domains, cheap service, and that’s what you get! Their customer service is awful, and my site is down at least one week out of the month.
