Today I updated WordPress to 4.2.2, also updated WP Awesome Support to 3.1.10

After the update, my site is blank, showing only the message “You haven’t submitted a ticket yet. Click here to submit your first ticket.”

I checked via PHPMyAdmin, an d all of the posts are still in database, just nothing shows on the site itself.

This site only has 2 plugins installed: Awesome Support. and WordPress Database Backup.
No posts / pages; we use it strictly as an in house ticketing system.

I did some digging through this WP database, and found part of the issue:

With version 3+, the developer changed a value for post_type from tickets to ticket (wp_posts table).

This also affects the column guid, where a typical post url would have been /?post_type=tickets&p=9 and is now /?post_type=ticket&p=9.

Doing a search / replace (from “tickets” to ticket“) for these 2 columns brought my tickets back on the front end, however all revisions are gone, and all tickets display as “open” (where many should be “closed” or “on hold”). Furthermore, none of our users (including admin) seem to have permission to update / edit tickets.

    Hi mykillink,

I believe you’ve updated from version 2.x. Version 3 is not compatible with 2.x and we’re still working on a migration script.

Basically everything has changed in the new version and you won’t be able to migrate all the data easily. What I suggest is that you downgrade to version 2.x and wait for the migration script. Sorry about the inconvenience.
