    Hi,
I couldn’t find any post on your site where Switch Video Quality is actually being used (also no css or js files that belong to the plugin). Could you provide a link to such a post?

The plugin is working properly with the most recent version of WordPress (4.7.4).

That’s really strange. The plugin saves data as post metadata in the database. So if you have a backup of your database, you can restore it.

I couldn’t find any video tag in the html source code of your post. This should be there even if the plugin is deactivated as it is generated by the WordPress [video] shortcode. Did you remove that shortcode intentionally?

To find out if your svq data is still there, you could install a plugin that shows the metadata associated with a post, like Display Post Meta or JSM’s Show Post Meta. Look for any entries that contain ‘svq’.

There’s only one case where the plugin is actually deleting data in the database (intentionally) and that’s when the user empties any svq input fields that formerly contained data and then saves the post. Did you recently mass update all of your video posts?
    Maybe something went wrong there.
I’ll do some tests to find out if the plugin’s saving process may fail in special cases.

thanx so much …. the video shortcode is in the post …. I dont know why you didnt find it … i checked the post and there it is
    [video width="1024" height="576"]
and also i didnt change or edit video posts recently at all .. it happened suddenly …. this might help i noticed that wordpress updated itself automatically the same day i noticed the videos are gone … and one more thing i installed a plugin called redirection … i dont think it is the culprit but it might help …. thank you so much for your time and efforts … this thing wrapped my mind so much these days and is strange for me also …

    Hi,
I tried to simulate your setting (installed WordPress 4.4.8, created posts, entered svq video data and updated WordPress to 4.4.9), but everything’s working fine.
I still don’t have a clue what may have caused your data to get lost all at once and without you having updated the posts, but I actually found a bug in the plugin’s saving process that could lead to metadata deletion in cases where the post was being updated from outside the post edit screen, e.g. using quick edit.
I will release an updated version of the plugin soon that has this bug fixed, but I’m afraid this won’t solve your actual problem.
Don’t you have a backup of your database? I think that this is the only way of getting your data back.
Sorry for not being of much help in this.

    hi there
f*** me …. I just remembered … I actually did quick update sort of all my posts that day …. I have backup but I dont want to undo them by restoring my database …. is their any way I can just bring these data back?
    thanx alot …

    Hi,
I’m really sorry for this, but now everything makes perfect sense.

The data used by the plugin is stored in a different database table than the normal post data (in the wp_postmeta table), so you could try to restore only this table without overwriting any post or comment data.

What did you use for creating the backup? Is it a single sql file? Do you have access to a database administration tool like phpmyadmin?

yah … I just have been confirmed that there is only one back up available for my website and thats for yesterday … so .. I think Im doomed .. I will try to fix the posts in the future one by one … maybe not … but thanx for your time I really appreciate it.

    Only yesterday, that’s really annoying!
But I’d be happy to see your videos back again.

Anyway, thank you for reporting this bug and sorry for the inconvenience.
