    Hi,

I was adjusting my look and feel in the AMP plugin settings today. Then I updated, disabled and reenabled plugins to troubleshoot an issue. I have NO IDEA what happened but now all of the sudden, the settings I had available earlier today are no longer available and I have a message at the top of the plugin page that says “AMP by Automattic is activated so the AMPforWP is now in the “Addon Mode”.” My look and feel has reverted back to default and my nav is no longer working.

I have followed all the links to read about this but I’m clearly not understanding. Why is my install now in add on mode and how the heck do I get access to all the settings again?

You must be having the “AMP By AMP Project Contributors” enabled, just deactivate and see if that fixes the issue?

No… It’s not even installed. I only have AMP for WP – Accelerated Mobile Pages installed.

Hi @ahmedkaludi , This is marked as resolved but it’s not resolved. Still an issue. I don’t have AMP By AMP Project Contributors installed. It was installed previously (weeks ago?) but I switched from that plugin to this one. I verified today that there are no lingering files from it in the plugins folder. All of the settings for AMP for WP – Accelerated Mobile Pages were working as late as yesterday morning and then were not working an everything reverted back to defaults.

    I’m sorry to hear that.

Can you share the list of the plugins you have installed?

I think I know the reason for the problem, just help me with the above question.

    1. Do you still have this notice:

“AMP by Automattic is activated so the AMPforWP is now in the “Addon Mode”.” My look and feel has reverted back to default and my nav is no longer working. ? ”

If yes, then try to deactivate all the plugins and see if fixes and then activate them one by one to help us understand what could be causing it.

There’s also a possibility that the theme is bundling the AMP code incorrectly, so try that as the last option.

Please test this and let me know so that I can help you.

I deactivated all plugins except AMPforWP and then activated them all one by one and it automagically worked! It’s no longer in add-on mode.
