All subpages for multisites with a domain are broken

  • We have several sites as part of our wordpress multisite setup that have unique domain names. We just transferred the whole shebang over to digital ocean, and I am having what I assume is some kind of routing issue that I am not sure how to fix!

    Every site on our multisite network that does not have a custom domain name, something like “sites.multisite.com/a_network_site” work perfectly fine, the subpages as well.

    However on the several sites that have their own unique domain names, such as the one linked above, the homepage loads perfectly but any subpage, such as uniquesite.com/help or whatever, I get a server 404 error!

    Do I need to set up some redirect info for apache? We are running on apache and ubuntu

  • Did you check the htaccess ?
    When you “activate” the multisite, you need to update wp-config.php and htaccess.
    If your domains changed, I guess, you should verify your .htacess
