ive checked with my smtp host, and the logs show the email as being sent,
and delivered to hotmail, but im not receiving any emails.

    any suggestions ?

    Hi @daresuk,

Thanks for the details! When you get a chance, could you please let me know if you get any DNS warnings when you send a test email and the SMTP settings you’re using? This might give us an idea on what might be going on.

    Thanks!

    Hi

    Same thing here
installed wp smtp 2.70 , all set up ok, add the host settings,
test email says its sent, but no email is received either !!

I can confirm the SMTP settigns are correct since we use them on outlook to send emails.
The webmail also works so we know we have no issue on the mail level.

A clue : whatever setting I set in the WP SMTP plugin, when I run the test it says the email is sent EVEN IF I KNOW THE SMTP SETTINGS ARE WRONG !!

    thanks

Something more : I installed CHECK & LOG EMAIL and ran a test from this plugin:
it says the active mail settings are :

    SendMail path (UNIX): /usr/sbin/sendmail -t -i
    SMTP server (Windows): localhost
    SMTP port (Windows): 25

Whereas in WP MAIL SMTP I put a completely different setting !!

It seems WP MAIL SMTP is completely ignored

    Hi @pulsarinformatique,

Thanks for the investigation. It sounds like you have an SMTP conflict on your site. The emails are being sent with the SMTP settings that aren’t set in WP Mail SMTP. In this case, you’ll need to identify the plugin creating the conflict. In case it helps, here’s troubleshooting guide to idenfiy the conflict/issue.

    I hope this helps!
