All Products Short Descriptions Vanished

    Hello,

    I have created and maintaining for a year now an E-shop with WordPress&Woocommerce.
    I have near 700 products and all of them had product short description. I realized today that non of these descriptions in any of my products are showing. When i open the dashboard and open the products, none of them has any text at Product Short Description Field, but it used to!
    Where did it go? I restore an old backup of the website, a version of it a month ago, but none of the Products Short Description returned. It seems like they were deleted and lost.
    What happened? Can i somehow retrieve them back?
    Please help me, i need to fix that..

    Hi there,

    Could you share your System Status Report, it would help us to understand your site setup a bit better. You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select Get system report and then Copy for support. Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your reply.

    It seems I can’t replicate this issue on my site. If you save a short description, does it get saved and displayed as normal?

    If it does, it sounds like perhaps there might be a conflict on your site that removed the descriptions. Is there an older backup of the products that still have the descriptions that you could revert to?

    and thanks for answering,
    below you can find my site’s report.
    If i add a short description right now at any new product that description will be visible and gets saved as normal, but both on front end and admin side the short descriptions for old products seems gone. I tried to return to a back up from 3 weeks ago, but no product short description were found… I also try switching to parent theme and disable all the plugins.. It doesn’t seem to be a plugin conflict but not sure.. please help.

    Also i noticed that the configured Menu Order on all products vanished..

    Hello,

    followed all the steps and did the test, but the descriptions aren’t back.
    Though i can only see Products short description in the database , not in the dashboard, but i cannot return them to site & products dashboard.
    Is this possible?

    Just to check further, from the conflict test, when you’ve disabled all plugins apart from WooCommerce and switched to a default WP theme like Twenty Twenty-One, how does the product page appear? If possible, could you share a screenshot of it?
