    Hi
Can you please help and confirm why my sitemap is being indexed on Bing but not on Google search?

The sitemap was submitted successfully on the 10th December and it’s still not showing all the pages/products on Google search!

    The site map is:
    https://www.honourablepleasure.com/sitemap_index.xml

Test on Google search and Bing to see the difference:
    site:honourablepleasure.com

Thank you for your help ??

    Hello,

    Thanks for reaching out!

We performed a site search on both Bing and Google and the website comes up in search results. You may refer to the attached screenshots here and here.

We understand some URLs indexed by Bing are not indexed by Google. Did you set up your site in Google Search Console? Can you please check over there and see if you can find any errors or warnings that can possibly give us a clue as to what’s causing the slow indexing?

    Hi Maybellyne

Yes if you look at Bing there are 100’s of pages.

On Google there are ONLY 3 pages, 1 PDF

The site has around 4000 page & products pages.

I did upload the sitemap my self to Google Search Console yes.

I cant see no errors, and cant understand why Bing has indexed 100’s of pages and Google only 3. After submitting the sitemap over 4 weeks ago and also trying to manually indext pages with no joy!

    Very strange ??

Thanks for your help on this issue

    Hi,

We checked the robots.txt file and it is fine. We are not sure why Google is not indexing all the URLs.

Since you have your site set up in Google Search Console, you can force Google to re-crawl a product/post/page by using URL inspection. You can use this feature to force Google’s index to update. Please follow the steps here: https://yoast.com/help/fetch-as-googlebot/

@mawebdesignuk When using the URL inspection feature, what is returned from Google Search Console? Are no issues found?

Also, as we aren’t seeing any specific reason for the URLs note being indexed, if you continue to experience this issue you can also reach out to Google Search Console support at the following link: https://support.google.com/webmasters/?hl=en#topic=9002753

?Also, you can create your own thread about this and receive assistance on resolving it by creating a post on the Google Search Console support forum at: https://support.google.com/webmasters/thread/new?hl=en

    Hi @devnihil

When we use the URL inspection all the stats come back fine and once we request indexing, we have no issues. Apart from the url never getting listed ??

Will try Google Search Console support agai, tried a few time, but not very helpfull.

    Thanks for your help!

@mawebdesignuk Thanks for your reply. We do understand that it can be difficult to contact Google. Unfortunately as everything we can see is in order and the URLs should be indexed.

Ok thank you for your help

Hi @mawebdesignuk, it seems like your problem is solved. And I am facing the same issue? Did you make changes other than this or it shows up with time?

Hi @krishnamediaco they showed up in time, taken about 4-6 week, very strange but all fine now.

@mawebdesignuk thank you for your response.
