All posts of a single post type in widget

I have a series of products families, each with it’s own post type. I would like to show in the widget all the posts that have the same post type as the one displayed: is it possible without hacking the widget?

I cannot use categories as a product can belong to more than one line of products, in which case I’d pull in all the categories of the product, regardless of product family.
