Hello,
I recently updated my WordPress to 4.7 and all paragraphs in pages and posts disappeared. When I edit a page or a post everything looks OK in the editor. Editing and saving content does not help.
What could be a reason of this?

Thanks in advance for your time.

You need to go through the basic troubleshooting steps.

    First deactivate all plugins.

    Is issues resolved?

If so, it’s a plugin issue. Activate one at a time, check the tabs. When it breaks, the last plugin activated was the issue. Deactivate and contact plugin developer.

If it’s still broken with all plugins deactivated, it’s the theme. Switch to default unedited theme.

Did that fix it? (Check tabs).

If not, you should Manually Update WordPress.

At that point you are at a default install.

So, if all steps above do not fix it, contact your host.

I’m at default install point and I want to pull my hair out!! Is there any way of going back to wordpress 4.6. Will that solve problem?

Like, 700 articles and and entire site to bloody redo??

It happens to our site too. We need to manually add

&
in the text editor or there will be no paragraphs. Before 4.7 it used to be added automatically.

    Ok, that was solved.

Go to PLUGINS, deactivate ALL plugins and then UPDATE and REACTIVATE them one by one.

    Did the trick for me.

@charlp can you list all your activated plugins so that I can compare with mine? Thanks.

It’s the NextGEN Gallery plugin. The problem is fixed after updating to the latest version.

    happy to help, thanks.

Thank’s ! Indeed, NextGEN Gallery had to be updated and it worked.
