    Hey there,

I have issues with Otter blocks that I included in my homepage. They display correctly if I preview them in the Gutenberg editor, but the css for the real page does not seem to work properly.

Interestingly, when I go to Settings>Otter and hit ‘Regenerate Styles’, each page shows properly when I load it for the first time, but then when I click to another page and go back or reload, the site breaks and the Otter blocks are not showing correctly anymore.

I saw another issue like that, where adding define('FS_METHOD', 'direct'); to the wp-config.php file solved the problem. I checked that, but the line is already included in my file. I am using an online installation of WordPress from my hosting service.

Thanks for any help, I would really appreciate it!

    Hey @flourishing,

Can you check your folder permissions? This seems like a case where your folder permissions aren’t set right. Can you please check that and let us know so we could further check?

Thank you so much for reporting and sorry for the delay.

    Thanks for your reply!

So I checked file permissions and they are 755 for wp-admin, wp-content and wp-includes as well as for all subfolders.. I checked changing it to 775 but that didn’t help…

Another interesting thing I found is that I am actually getting my page displayed incorrectly because my browser is blocking mixed content from my page. If I unblock the elements the page shows correctly. And the elements are CSS files from the folder ../wp-content/uploads/themeisle-gutenberg/.

Does that give you any new information on what the problem could be?

I have this exact same problem, it only began a couple of days ago.

When I regenerate the site with Otter the site briefly displays the pages correctly, but after a few seconds the graphic elements in the pages disappear and only display text.

    Any clues?

I confirm that enforcing SSL fixes the issue with Otter, I installed Real Simple SSL and voilá!

@flourishing Can you also try to install Really Simple SSL plugin and see if it works?

When I am in the WP dashboard Firefox still tells me that parts of the page are insecure though…

This could be due to cache? Maybe try a private window and see if it works?

Doesn’t work. Could it be something related to my hosting service?

It works fine on my end when I open your website. Which page is this happening on?
