Hi, I am unable to save some changes I make in settings of the custom post type. I have accidently toggled the “Hide from search results?” and now I cannot un-toggle it or get it back. I am also unable to save my own Meta Title or Meta description of the posts (Custom post types). It only works on pages and the default WordPress posts. I have recently switched from Yoast SEO to Slim SEO plugin and migrated all the data, but I cannot make further Meta Title & Description adjustments. I cannot also unhide the blog posts and other posts from the search results. Can you please help? It’s quite urgent!

I have tried to deactivate Slim SEO plugin and activate it back, and also deactivated all the plugins and kept only Slim SEO enabled but no luck. I believe, it has something to do with my Theme. I am using a child them of Ultimatum Theme Builder. Can you please advice or help me find a solution?

    Thank you in advance

    Luke

    Hi @lukeseven ,

Can you try with the default theme? And if it works, reactivate your current theme later?

Maybe try clearing the browser cache when going to the settings page after saving. I guess it might show the previous states.

Would you mind sharing the info of your site under Tools > Site Health > Info?

    Hi Tran,

thank you for your reply. I am sorry for my late one. I’d like to inform you that since last update it got fixed. Only concern I have is that the changes doesn’t save only when meta titles or descriptions includes emojis. I assume it’s not supported yet but it would be nice to have this ability. Nevertheless, I was able to make the changes in the settings and also in the custom post types posts and save them since the last update of SlimSEO plugin. You can close this thread as resolved.

Thanks once again for coming back to me so quickly.

    Cheers!

    Hi @lukeseven

I’ve re-tested the plugin with emojis in the meta title and description and it saves correctly. Please see this video:

    Hi Tran,

in my case it doesn’t even save the change when pasting emoji. When adding letters or symbols, it works. See the video:

Any idea what could be wrong with that?

    Thank you
