    Hi,
I have a Website which worked fine until last Monday, on tuesday it all of the sudden started showing a “index of” Screen that have listed the Content of some Folder which does not exist and below it there is “Apache/2.4.10 (Debian) Server at init black Port 80” written.

Also, before I get the Index of page, WordPress asks me for a Password (since it is a private blog)

I have installed WP using a FTP Client and it worked well untill now. I also have not changed anything using the ftp Client and I did not Change any of the site Settings.

Index Of means that there is not a page of the default type the server is looking for. This is normally index.htm, index.html, or (in the case of WordPress) index.php. If that file goes missing, you will get that Index Of page.

As to the contents, you say you are seeing contents of a folder that does not exist? Do you mean within your account? and adding a new index.php file did not work?

If that is the case, you will want to check to ensure the domain name is pointing correctly. Perhaps there was some sort of DNS change and it is now pointing somewhere else.

The index.php exists in /httpdocs. I tried to replace it with a 2 weeks old backup, when that also did not work i tried replacing it with a new index.php file from a new wordpress download. That also did not work. I have checked where the Domain Name is pointing and it is pointing to the right ip adress.

I mean on the Server. I looked for it using the ftp Client. The site is showing me Index Of / blueharbour.de and there is one file listed called “test40”.
However, in the ftp client the Folder “blueharbour.de” exists in “\logs\php_errors\blueharbour.de” and that Folder does not contain “test40”, it only contains php_error.
