This just took place within the last hour. The front page of my blog has red “x’s” where the images should be. When I click on the post, the image appears…just not on the front page. I installed a plug-in called “Remove WordPress to WordPress Filter” but that has not helped. Any thoughts?

    Nothing huh?

Replace your theme’s cropper.php with a fresh copy (it has errors) or switch themes.

Please explain what you mean about the cropper. Please use layman’s terms as I am not too experienced ?? Thanks.

    Well, thanks anyway.

Your theme has a file named cropper.php in it that does something with images. It is giving errors, so it may have become corrupted. Use FTP to replace it with a fresh copy or just switch to a new theme.

The “Failed to load magic database” error is something I haven’t seen before.

Sounds a little over my head. Probably just switch themes. Thanks.

No clue why this worked, but I went to the Settings/Media tab and unclicked where it said “Attempt to automatically embed all plain text URLs.”
