    Hello,
    my name’s Joseph.
I’ve been running and maintaining a lot of websites with wordpress installed.

But just now, i got shocked when i can’t access my websites (public access & wp-admin), then i tried with all my other wordpress websites, all the same!!
They all directed to the “famous five minute wordpress installation” (install.php)
I’ve tried to follow the instruction, but as the username is already exist, i can’t continue the installation.
    What should i do ???

I’ve searched past threads, i got one saying that it’s one of the 3.7.1 update failure, isn’t it?

  • Hi Joseph
    I would check two things:

First, make sure you have a wp-config.php file on each site and that the contents of that file contains your MySQL details. If that file is missing then something has gone wrong and your host may need to restore your sites. It would be quite concerning if this was missing.

Second I would check with your host to see if your database server is OK, and if they are aware of any security issues or recent changes being made to the servers.

    Hi Scott.
    Thanks for the reply.

I’ve checked two of my websites, still got the wp-config.php file with MySQL details inside.
So, that means there’s problem from hosting’s database server?
I’ve sent a ticket from them, hope they’d do something about this.
