All my posts have been deleted?

  • I woke up this morning, checked my site as usual, and noticed that all my posts between now and February 1 have been deleted. I have no idea what happened, and am really quite upset about this. Has this ever happened to anyone? Where did my posts go and is there anyway to get them back?

    The most likely cause is that your host restored a backup of your database. You’ll need to contact them to find out what happened.

    Same thing happened to us on two wordpress blogs. Also between now and early February. I am the host for these sites and my server techs have done extensive investigations into the issue and it is our conclusion that the software is the only remaining possiblity. I doubt there is anything to be done about this but another voice to this thread may help the issue eventually get looked into.

    Well since posts, pages, etc. are stored in the database, it’s extremely doubtful the software is at fault.
    I’ve never heard of WP somehow arbitrarily cleaning the db.
    More likely a host or db server issue, eh?
