• Hi, last month I had a problem with my website. I recently had to go to the city for some business so could not deal with my problem until now. so I’m back at it.

    My problem is that all my posts on my site disappeared and I do not have any backups at all. I longed into my control panel on my hosting provider but I could not fix the problem from there as I have no backups. All I need is some information on why all my content disappeared suddenly. No posts or images or files. only the theme is visible.

    I also tried to disable all plugins, thinking it was something like that but no luck.

    Any help is greatly appreciated as I am at my wits end on this. I had a tone of content on my site, but just suddenly it was all gone. how can that happen?

    thanks

    It looks like all of your category and tag data is still there. From cPanel I suspect your wp_posts table will be empty, what about the wp_postmeta table?

    Somehow, either your wp_posts table has been emptied, or from WordPress somehow, all of your posts have been deleted. If the wp_postmeta table is also empty it would seem more from WordPress so perhaps some malicious has accessed your site.

    Where do i go to find my wp_postmeta

    @acharyapolina

    You can find and view your wp_posts and wp_postmeta tables by logging in to the database, most hosting providers let you do this by clicking a service called ‘phpmyadmin’ – see if your control panel has that and try clicking it to login.

    If it logs you in you can click the database and your wp_posts and wp_postmeta tables. You don’t need to change anything, we just want to know if any table rows appear when you do click on them.

    It very well might be that something deleted them, if so speak to your hosting provider about what you can do, they might be able to advise about potential backup options.

    Well the wp_postmeta works and opens fine
    the wp_post is corrupted and says wp_post is marked as crashed and last automatic repair failed.

    What can i do?

    @acharyapolina

    You need to talk to your hosting provider about possibly repairing the table, or you might need to restore it from a backup.

    Hi, there is still one chance to recover your post manually from google cache. Try enter cache:yoursite.com/post1 in browser and you will see your posts copies.
