• After upgrading to WP 3.8.1, I can no longer access my existing plugins. The plugins are on the server in the plugins directory, but do not show up on my admin page to activate. I can add new plugins, and they work fine, but I cannot see the old ones, and when I try to reload an old one, it says it already exists. I went through all of the various plugin reset tricks listed on this site, and manually upgraded to 3.9.1, but the problem has not changed.
How do I get access to my plugins again?????

to rule out any theme-specific issue, try switching to the unedited default Theme (such as Twenty Fourteen) for a moment using the WP dashboard

    Tara,
Thanks for your response. Actually, determined the site was hacked thru the Mail Poet/wysija plug-in. Apparently there is a huge security flaw in versions less than 2.6.7 that can allow hackers to write code into all the php files in the plugin directory

Manually deleted the old plugins & all is back to working. If you have a version of Mail Poet less than 2.6.7 you need to upgrade ASAP.
