All MailChimp plug-in files are active except mailchimp_widget.php

I’ve been wracking my brain trying to figure out this problem and I just can’t.

For some reason, even though my MailChimp plug-in is active and almost all of its component files are also active, the file mailchimp_widget.php is displaying as being “inactive.” Nevertheless, it still shows up in my blog sidebar as well as my footer. I can even submit an email address and get a success message, but I don’t receive a confirmation email.

I’ve tried deactivating, reactivating, even deleting and reinstalling both 1.2.1 and 1.2.2.

I’m at a loss at what to do. Can anyone help?
