    Hi,

I didn’t realise that Postie would delete *all* my emails (including those already in my mailbox prior to activating Postie) from the mail address that I set!

I guess those are all irretrievable. My bad. But now, I cannot seem to clear the plugin cache to try a different email address.

    Best,

    Tim

Sorry this happened to you. Typically your email provider moves deleted emails to a deleted folder for 30 before actually deleting them. You might check with your provider.

I will up the existing warning to include existing emails.

I’m not sure what you mean by plugin cache. Are you saying that when you save a new email configuration it isn’t retained?

That’s OK Wayne. Fortunately, my email provider offers the facility to download all personal data – which includes an eml file.

Yes, I meant that the new email configuration isn’t retained.

I initially tried with my Gmail account – both IMAP and POP, but received errors. I’d still like to use this plugin. How does Outlook / Live fair with Postie?

Not sure about Postie not saving the configuration. Are you using Apache or NGINX? I’ve heard that NGINX sometimes has that issue.
