ALL links to root site redirect to wp-signup.php

I am at by wits end with this problem. I have been trying to find a solution for the last 48 hours. I have re-installed WordPress, searched my database for clues, (found a javascript that wasn’t supposed to be there) but I just can NOT figure out why ALL links on my root site redirect to wp-signup.php. The other sites that I have running on the mu are not affected. just the root site. The url to the root is https://www.basiccustomwebsite.com/ I would appreciate any help anybody could give. I have tried just about everything. I must be missing something. I don’t know what else I could try. PLEASE HELP!!!!
