  • What status and log message does it display for those links?

“HTTP code: 0” usually just means the plugin didn’t receive any HTTP response. This can happen if the request times out, or the plugin is blocked by a firewall, or it can’t look up the hostname due to DNS problems, and so on.

I’m having the same problem –

Link last checked: August 4, 2014
    HTTP code: 0
    Response time: 11.379 seconds
    Final URL: https://susannichole.com/
    Redirect count: 0
    Instance count: 2
    Log: Couldn’t resolve host ‘susannichole.com’ [Error #6]

    Link is broken.

@ nfurlan: Does that happen with all links? If so, it might mean there’s something wrong with your server’s DNS configuration. Try asking your hosting provider about it.

Hi Janis! Nope, it’s only a handful of links, not all links.

Then it could be a temporary problem. Try re-checking the links: Bulk Actions -> Recheck.

    Thanks Janis! Will do.

Is there a way to stop the recheck process once it’s started? Just in case it freezes up the website for too long? (this is our main site)

No, short of deactivating the plugin. You could, however, try re-checking the links in small batches to see how it affects the website.

Thank you for your support, Janis! Much appreciated!
