After updating to 3.1.1, all anchor tags that include an image get class=”fancybox”.
As a result, global menus and banner links do not work at all.
We have to roll the plugin back to 3.0.14.

I also had to roll back to 3.0.14. Images opened in a new page instead of in a lightbox. Dialogs that opened over the page in the back failed totally. Hard to believe this release was rolled out. As a result, I have disabled automatic updating of FancyBox

    Hey guys,

Thank you so much for reaching out and letting us about this!
We sincerely apologize for the inconveniences caused by our latest update.
It was a huge update because we had to update FancyBox’s JavaScript from an older version (1.3.8) to a newer one (3.5.1).
There were a few other changes and some settings were replaced by new ones or deleted.

We are trying to fix these new issues as fast as we can and will release an update addressing them soon.
In the meantime, to help, we have added a rollback option in FancyBox so you can go back to the previous version. You can find it in your Plugins list: https://gyazo.com/1d68fab92591f027387ae75c29a17b32

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this,
    Mihaela
