All known files open directly in browser but doesnt download

  • Hi, i need help with an issue. Any common extension file i upload is opened in browser instead of download once i click the download button. Is there any way the uploaded files can be downloaded instead of browser display.

    I have fixed this issue with the latest release.

    Hello Nik, thanks for the hardwork your plugin is awesome. However, i am facing the same issue. Still my files are being opened in browser directl. Even with 1.0.12 update. Only file i am able to download is .ZIP extension. Please help.

    Hi Yasir80,

    There is a setting under Dowload Settings->Display Options to force PDFs (and other downloads) to open in a tab rather than download, Have you got that setting set incorrectly for your requirements?

    If you have checked that and it’s still not working the way you would like then I suspect that you’re using a caching plugin. Try deleting the cache and doing a hard refresh on your bowser. That has done the trick for a few users.

    I have this plugin installed on a couple of live sites and I have tested this functionality with all of them and using the force download setting works as it should on all of them.
