• Ok, please bare with me. I am very new and green. I changed a theme and bam, all white pages, even with my login so I can get in to change it back so I am stuck. I have read everywhere that people change this file and that file or clear this. WHERE? In the cPanel? Where I am I think running apache? Its with TMD hosting. Half the fixes I find on the net doest do me any good because I do not know where these files are. Can anyone walk me thru a fix in extreme layman terms?

    Thanks

    Take a deep breath ??

Blank white pages are almost always a PHP error. SINCE you said you changed your theme, I’m betting THAT is it.

Go in via FTP and DELETE that theme folder. So long as you still have the twenty-ten folder, it’ll revert to that and you can get in.

Now to my next question. how do I go in via FTP. I have access to cPanel. I assume there?

Ok, so there could have been 3 themes that it was. I went to cPanel, file manager, wpcontent, then the theme files. It will not let me DELETE the folder, but I deleted the files inside. Still nothing but blanks

Go to the cpanel file manager then, same thing.

    Find the wp-content/themes/ folder.

Find the name of the theme you just activated.

Delete that folder. And ONLY that theme folder. Now go refresh your site. try and login. It make take a couple of refreshes, but wordpress will reset the theme to the default and let you in again.

(also, why is this in the multisite section?)

WPMU upgrade to 3.1.1 failed. How to restore back my blog? I have a recent backup downloaded and saved to my computer. Any help please?

Did you backup before you upgraded? that;s the first step in upgrading.

And failed how? blank white pages are php errors, every time. disable all the plguins even the mu plugins. can you login to the backend? did you find the error logs?
