All In One SEO to Yoast migration, no meta descriptions

  • We have a staging site set up to test migrating from All In One SEO to Yoast and it will not bring over the meta descriptions. I tried using the default import within Yoast and was unsuccessful. They recommended trying this plugin SEO Data Transporter and no luck there either. This was the result of the analyze:
    Compatible Elements:

    1. Custom Doctitle
    2. META Description
    3. META Keywords
    The analysis found 2 compatible database records to be converted.

    However, after you run it, it says 618 records updated, 590 were ignored.
    I check live site meta vs. staging meta and it is not there. Any suggestions? All plugins and WordPress are running at the current versions.

    Does this still work with All in One SEO?

    Hello,

    We have the same issuer, the free importer tool from Yoast SEO doesn’t import all the metadata of the ALl-in-One SEO plugin…. It works welle for pages but it only imports the meta title for the posts…. not the meta description.
    Why ? There’s no error exepte that half the datas were ignored (probably those meta descriptions) but we don’t know why.

    I am encountering the same issue: I try to import meta description data from All in one SEO into Yoast SEO, but I get an ignored message.

    How can I import the data?
