All in one seo plugin – getting invalid date on google console sitemap submitted

The date format in the RSS sitemap matches their example here – https://webmasters.googleblog.com/2014/10/best-practices-for-xml-sitemaps-rssatom.html
so it seems like a false error. Try resubmitting the sitemap.

This is mine….
<pubDate>Thu, 21 Feb 2019 17:42:19 +0000</pubDate>

the example is
<updated>2011-06-27T19:34:00+01:00</updated>

all of mine have pubdate and +0000 (never changes) Does the format of the date thu, 21 geb 2019 etc…need to be more like the example too?

You’re looking at the example for XML not RSS. The date format for RSS is <pubDate>Mon, 27 Jun 2011 19:34:00 +0100</pubDate>

do you think that google is thinking the 0000 is invalid as it never changes for each post?
