As I said, it shows in the serps, not on the page.

Example :

type in “testosterone boosting supplements” into google.

We have a listing at about position 11:

Somehow it is adding a date to the meta description.

Google decides what it will, and won’t show, in its results descriptions. There’s absolutely nothing you can do to force it to use certain text. All in One SEO is not at fault.

Google Is showing the full and exact description added in all in one SEO.

It’s simply also for some reason adding a date prefix.

We don’t get it on any of the static html pages only on the WordPress pages so I presumed it was down to the AIOSEO .

It’s definitely not the plugin. Looks like Google is picking up the date from your posts themselves.
