Yes, I am planning to add support for more 3rd party plugins as time becomes available.

Still grappling over whether or not to include these in plugin core, or as add-on plugins. Thoughts? I’m all ears. ??

Well, if you want to make some money, plugins are a good option – but I won’t pay for that as I am not rich enough ??
As user, I would say: “put it in the core !” but my reasonable advice is to make plugins so people download only what they really need and you have the opportunity to make some money – and your work deserve some money.

Thank you for the compliment, but I’m not looking to make money from this plugin. I do, however, want to promote best practices (only include what needs to be included) and advance my skills as a plugin developer, while providing a much needed feature to WordPress.

Essentially, what I’d do is to release all my add-on plugins in the WP repo. That way, users only download what they want. The drawback for me is that there would be many plugins in the repo to manage. I would benefit by having more overall outlets to my work, though. ??

So, my real question to you is, as a user, would you be willing to install many plugins (say, 5) to accomplish needed functionality? Or, would you go for the option to install as few plugins as possible? This is question I’m grappling with here.

I will eventually release some paid plugins through my online marketplace, but that is a future goal and has nothing to do with this project.

    Thanks for the thoughts!

On a side note, my wife and I will be traveling to Paris for a week this summer. Do you have any off-the-tourist-path places you might recommend we visit? We travel often, and are overall more interested in interacting with culture than with tourists. ??

We’ll be staying close to the Sorbonne. Please contact me through my website (https://www.dauid.us/contact/) if you have any suggestions.

I suggest you limit the number of the plugins to install: maybe a “central” plugin with basic functions and a second plugin with the complement. In my opinion, each related plugins must be very specific. No use to have different plugins for the same thing.
Contact Form 7 is a good example: each related plugin offers a very specific function.

    That’s what I was thinking, too. ??

Well, I don’t see any option for All in One SEO in 2.4 version ?

The repo version has been updated. Obviously, my current process of versioning is not working.

Currently, there are only options for Title, Description and Keywords for All In One SEO. Are there other options in their Pro version that I should add?

Well, I use only Title and Description – so… Maybe you should wait for user complaining about lacking fields ??

Yes. Not sure how many of the other fields would be controlled by my plugin, anyways. Hopefully you can find this useful so far.
