All-in-one Event Calendar Widget Post Limit

I am using the plugin (against my will) and I am currently using the generated code from the “Widget Creator” to display events on the page.

I want to limit the number of events that is displayed to 3. Is there a way to do this? I have thought of jQuery but the plugin takes ages to load which means a ‘document ready’ function wont work, and the load time varies which means setting a timer in jQuery will be risky.

If this isn’t possible, then can the Developers of the plugin please say it straight up, I have already spent enough time trying to figure this out and having a deadline of the project isn’t helping.
