• I just installed the plugin and went through the basic settings. We are on a MU site. After activating the plugin and basic configuration I went to one of the network sites to make changes in various pages. ALL the images have disappeared from the media library and the pages themselves. It’s like it won’t recognize the path/URL to the wp-content folder.

Please advise what is causing this and what settings have to be tweaked. Thank you.

Hi simco, if you have the following enable

Click on WP Security >> Firewall >> Prevent Hotlinks to activate the following security settings Prevent Hotlinking = Uncheck this option if it is enable first and test it again.

If the above does not apply can you deactivate all the features and activate one by one to see which one is causing the problems in your website.

    Kind regards

Im afraid I’ve had the same problem and i have deactivated everything i can. the images themselves are still on ther server but wordpress cannot locate them

Hi @cjwebster are you saying that after installing and activating this plugin your images disappeared?

    Regards

    Hi! Thanks for your response.

Finally last night I found the conflict, it was the changes to the htaccess file which would have impprove file access security, but I think turned out in compatible with my site in particular.

I was able to draw upon another site I managed to compare the two. The site with the problem was an Addon site (so in a directory withing another site) whereas the successful one was installed alone. I won’t pretend to clearly understand the issue, but after comparing the 2 and remove all the extra rules the plugin added, everything returned back to normal.

Otherwise, I enjoy the features this plugin offers and still run it on the site it has worked on!

I hope this helps others too!

    Thanks again
