All formats of images broken in media tab (PLEASE HELP)

  • I just installed wordpress 4.2.2 via softaculous for my addon website on my unlimited domain hosting account. When i try to upload photos with add media option (.jpg or .png) it appears to be broken with a broken image icon. I have tried to change Upload folder permissions via ftpclient to 777, 755, 744. But the problem still persists

    There are no plugins on my website.

    I installed a coming soon page plugin, but the background image isn’t there.

    So, basically i am not able to see any image on my website and i have tried to install wordpress many times to solve this. Please help!

    Does it have its own domain name and URL or is it a sub-domain accessed with something like mydomain.com/sub-domain/? I might not have much real help to offer here, but I suspect either WordPress does not know where to actually put the uploads or else cannot later find them. Have you look in your folders to see whether they are there?
