    Hey there!

First of all: great plugin, it helped us to prevent a lot of spam after trying a lot of different solutions already.

Now we have a problem after updating from 3.1.1 to the latest version (4.9.8): all Gravity Form submissions are getting blocked for non-logged in users.

I enabled logging of spam detections and there is an entry for every submission.

If you need those details, a list of installed plugins or other information please let me know!

For now I just installed version 3.1.1 again and everything works fine.

    Thank you for your help.

Thanks, glad you’ve found it useful & sorry for the troubles you’re having. Let’s get it figured out. Can you shoot me the URL where the form is getting sent & an admin login so I can check out the settings? You can shoot me that info on my site at benmarshall.me/contact.

    Hi Ben,

I’m experiencing the same issues even after whitelisting my IP address, if I’m not logged in the gravity form submission gets rejected.

    Any help would be great

Hey guys, thanks for the info. The issue varies, but basically any addon plugins that extend GF seem to conflict with WPZS & how it handles submissions. My best guess without getting server access to add debug, is these addons are overriding a hook that’s needed for WPZS.

Good news & bad news. The bad news is in the latest release, v4.9.9, GF support was dropped. Check out the plugin FAQs for more info. The good news is, shouldn’t be that big of a deal as GF already implements a similar technique to detect spam (again, see the FAQs for info). That doesn’t mean having WPZS installed on your site is unless however. There are several other techniques it employs to detect spam and malicious IPs.

Basically, issues with GF should be fixed, spam can be detected via their plugin, & WPZS will continue to protect your site from IPs via it’s other built-in methods.
