ALL Featured images gone after updating to 3.4!!

Okay folks.. I’ve tried it all.. I can’t get anything to work and I’m about ready to chuck it all and move to some other blogging method or none and all and use FB.

It’s obvious there is a major problem and no fix or promise of one in site

I’ve done all your suggestions, added things to the files, deactivated plug ins, changed themes

not working..

any clue?

Any solution for this problem ? Its obvious that 3.4.1 is deleting all featured images, how we can avoid this…

Mine was to move to Tumblr till they get a fix… If they don’t find a fix soon I’ll customize my blog there and move on…

The fact that there is NO customer support and no one cares is the worst!

I have the same problem with my gallery images and all images on my web site……Re-uploaded and updated the functions file but no luck!!

and no one on WP cares… Maybe WP is just to big for itself. I dunno. I’m really sad I have to move my blog, but I’m a photographer and I can’t just have a blog with no images and I tried it all. I’m waiting for the next upgrade that I hope will fix the problem, if it does not. I’ll have to move on for sure.

WordPress 3.4 does not delete any featured images. The most common culprits are:

– outdated or badly coded themes
– outdated or badly coded plugins
– accidental database damage during an upgrade (you did make a pre-upgrade database backup, didn’t you?)

In each case, it would be far better to post your own topics than add something to a topic that is two months old. Older topics with many responses will often be ignored by forum volunteers who will, quite reasonably, try to focus on topics with no answers.

It’s also worth bearing in mind that WordPress is free software and that this free support forum is staffed entirely by volunteers. They do answer as many request for help as they can but, sometimes, topics are missed or left unanswered. So please try to help us to help you by:

– Posting your own topic
– Using descriptive topic title
– Including as much information as possible in your post – along with a link to your site.

I added this <?php add_theme_support(‘post-thumbnails’);?> and re-uploaded every pic….I had troubles but they are all there now. I don’t want to speak too soon though……

I think it may be a theme problem associated with theme developers or outdated theme – missing this piece of code from them….

Well Esmi..

I changed my theme to the basic WP theme and no pics

I removed my plug ins and No pics

I checked with my theme creater, he stated not on their end

I checked with hostgator not their issue

I reuploaded my WP no pics

I’d have to say the issue is with WP, since I can’t do anything more to make my images come back.

And actually if there are more then a few of us, which there are, I’d say something has to do with that update, before that.. everything was fine.

Now my images upload at 0x0 pixels and show as grey boxes..

So …

Oh and I’ve posted my own topic as well as added to others that were started a week ago.

People get frustrated so they will write everywhere, anywhere to get a reply.
