  • I have the same issue:

    When using Helpie FAQ inside a blog article, every FAQ item opens a copy of the complete article and inside this copy I can open the FAQ item. This problem only occurs with blog articles, not with pages.

    WordPress 5.8, Elementor 3.4.3, Elementor Pro 3.3.8, Theme: Hello Elementor 2.4.1

    The problem started with Helpie FAQ > 1.6.2, so right now I am stuck with version 1.6.2

    Hi @sfriedri @sacalito ,

    Have you used the Elementor template that has “Post content” widget?

    If so, can you please try removing the template for our FAQ page alone and check if it works fine then?

    ?Do try it and let me know what happens.
    ?
    Looking forward to hearing back from you.

    Kind Regards.

    Hi everybody,
    I have the same problem. I installed helpie faq a few hours ago, and everything went fine.

    I then copied the section with the helpie faq on one page and pasted it on another page, changed the category and then I had this problem.

    Can you please let me know what I can do to solve this?

    Thanks & Kind regards

    @stephanestruyve

    This might happen when you have set an Elementor template for all your pages and have created our FAQ page using the Elementor page builder. Is that how it has been setup on your end?

    If so, could you please create our FAQ page using our shortcode [helpie_faq] until we fix this?

    We already have this in our bug tracker. I will make sure to let you know once this is pushed up.

    Hope that helps. Let me know if there is anything else I could help you with.

    Kind Regards.

    @pauplesupport

    Thank you for your reply, this is exactly what I tried as a work around and it’s working fine now.

    Thanks,
    Stephane

    @pauplesupport I’ve deleted your offer to login to your user’s site. I’m am 100% sure you mean well but please never ask for credentials on these forums.

    Now for the why: The internet is a wonderful place full of very nice people and a few very bad ones. I’m sure everyone here is very nice however, by giving some ones keys to your house you are trusting they wont steal anything. Likewise the person who takes the keys is now responsible for the house FOREVER.

    If something was to go wrong, then you the author may well legally become liable for damages, which they would not normally have been as their software is provided without warranty.

    Please be aware that repeatedly asking for credentials will result in us escalating this to the plugins team.

    It’s never necessary to do that. Here’s why.

    There are many ways to get information you need and accessing the user’s site is not one of them. That’s going too far.

    You get the idea.

    Volunteer support is not easy. But these forums need to a safe place for all users, experienced or new. Accessing their system that way is a short cut that will get you into real trouble in these forums.
